Yes. Tarken is designed for self-installation. The Phillips screwdriver you need is included. Most compatible installations take only a few minutes; see the step-by-step user manual.

Yes. The physical buttons can close the window, move it to the tilted ventilation position, or release it for full manual turn-opening. Full turn-opening is intended for manual use.

No hub is needed for local Bluetooth control through the Tarken app. Matter over Thread control requires a compatible Matter controller and Thread border router.

Yes. Tarken can be commissioned and controlled through its app and through Matter. When using Matter, it is usually best to create smart-home automations in your chosen ecosystem.

Battery life depends on window resistance, temperature, and how often automations move the window. With normal use, Tarken is designed to run for up to around one year between charges.

Recharge it with USB-C while installed or remove the unit for charging. The included solar panel can reduce or eliminate manual charging when light conditions and usage allow.

Tarken does not contain rain or wind sensors. A compatible smart-home system can use separate sensors or weather data to create rain, wind, or outdoor-temperature automations.

During normal operation, Tarken locks or unlocks the handle mechanism and moves the window between closed and tilted ventilation positions. Full turn-opening is manual, and percentage-based opening is not supported.

In the Tarken app you can choose full or slight tilt, disable locking, and disable the physical buttons.
