Handle compatibility
Requirements for window handle
Tilt your window handle cover to access the fasteners. Window handle needs to be fastened with 2 bolts with 43 mm distance form each other. The window spindle is a rectangular bar with a side length of 7 mm. Tarken is suitable with spindle lengths between 25 - 40 mm.
Use caliper or ruler to confirm those measurements.
Window compatibility
Window type
Tarken is suitable for most PVC and wooden windows. Verify suitability measuring distance from the center of the handle to the edge of the window. Maximum allowed distance is 35 mm.
Window wing must overlap the frame, leaving 15 - 25 mm step.
There must be at least 20 mm flat, free space for sticking the anchor.
Recommenced width for window is up to 1 meter and height up to 1.5 meters. Window handle must rotate with no significant resistance.
Installing Tarken
Installation manual
- Open the window
- Tilt the window handle cover by 90 degrees and remove existing window handle by unscrewing the bolts
- Push Tarkeninto window opening
- Screw back in the handle bolts through Tarkenfixing holes
- Align window anchor to Tarken and peel of the sticker cover
- Close the window and push the anchor firmly against the cleaned window frame (let it cure for few minutes)
- Use Tarken to close the window
